Description

Grove Cottage, also known as No 34, and Devon Cottage, formerly listed as No 32, are 17th century or earlier timber-framed buildings with red brick infilling. No 34 was refaced with brick in 1725. The cottages are two storeys high and feature a hipped thatched roof, with two eyebrow dormers on No 34. There are five casement windows in total. No 34 has a stone inscribed "M B 1725" and an external brick chimneystack that includes tumbling-in and a bread oven. The doorcases are simple in design.
