Description

Monastery Cottage, originally a monastic building belonging to Blackfriars Monastery, is a timber-framed structure that was refaced in the 17th century. It has two storeys and is finished in stucco. The building features an old tiled roof with one restored brick chimney stack. There are two mullioned casement windows with leaded lights, and a rainwater head is present. A curved brace is also noted. The doorcase on the right side is recessed and has a wooden studded door. The rear elevation displays a gable and retains its timber-framed construction. Monastery Cottage has group value with No 7.
