Description

Blean House is an early 19th-century building, situated on Whitstable Road. It is a three-storey structure with a front facade of white brick and side walls of red brick. The roof is slate, topped with a parapet. The central bay projects slightly, featuring an iron balcony supported by wooden brackets on the first floor, and a doorway below with side lights, a segmental fanlight, and a six-panel moulded door. A stone string course runs above the ground floor of the other window bays. Flanking the main house are curtain walls, concealing one-storey office buildings. Each office building features a round-headed arch containing a blind window space, and beyond that, a lower curved portion terminating in a gate pier.
