Description
Wallend Farm Cottage is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It features red stock brick walls and a Kent peg tiled roof, which has a hip on the right side and a half-hip on the left. There is a brick stack located to the right of the center. The building is designed as a lobby entry house and stands two storeys tall.
The front elevation includes a stringcourse and two two-light casement windows with small panes, with the ground floor windows set under segmental heads. A central ledged door provides access. At the rear, there is an outshut beneath a catslide roof. Only the western ground and first floor rooms are heated. Inside, there is a planked door with long hinges leading to the stairs, exposed hardwood spine beams, and a blocked ground floor fireplace.
