Description
1A Middle Row is a 16th-century timber-framed building that has undergone significant alterations. It stands two storeys tall with attics. The east front features brown brick and has two gables that are faced with roughcast. The north front is also of brown brick on the ground floor, while the upper part has been largely renewed with pargetting that displays lozenges and circles in strapwork motifs. The building has a tiled roof with one gabled dormer, and the two gables are adorned with enriched bargeboards and attic windows. The first-floor windows are modern, and there is a modern shop front. All the buildings in Middle Row are considered to form a group.
