Description

Willesborough Windmill was built in 1868 by John Hill, a millwright from Ashford. The structure features a rectangular brick base that stands two storeys high. Above this base is an octagonal smock mill made of white weatherboarding, which has a platform and railing surrounding it. The windmill includes sash windows with intact glazing bars and has a hooded cap. However, the fantail and some sweeps are partly missing. At the base of the windmill, there is a two-storey house that is tile hung and has a hipped slate roof, with two sash windows that also have intact glazing bars.
