The timber-framed barn at Romden Castle, located to the northeast of Romden Cottage, dates from the 18th century or earlier. It features plaster infilling and curved braces, with the ground floor faced in tarred weatherboarding resting on a red brick base. The barn is topped with a hipped tiled roof.
