Description

The oasthouse at Lower Murgie, located to the north of the house, dates from the 19th century. It consists of two square oasts that are two storeys high, with the ground floor made of red brick and the first floor weatherboarded. The oasthouse features a pyramidal-tiled roof with a cowl. There is an attached granary, which also has a ground floor of red brick and a weatherboarded first floor, topped with a half-hipped tiled roof. The windows are modern casements. At the time of the survey in 1976, the oasthouse was being converted into a dwelling.
