Description

This obelisk, located about 20 metres east of the Church of Saint Gregory and Saint Martin, commemorates William Godfrey, who died in 1766. It features a double stepped base that originally had iron railings. The obelisk has a moulded pedestal with inscriptions on the south side and a finely detailed relief arms cartouche on the east side, all topped by the obelisk itself, which is heavily covered in ivy.
