Description
This is a headstone dedicated to Thomas and John Hudson, who were drapers from the town. It is located about 3 metres northeast of the Church of Saint Gregory and Saint Martin. The headstone dates from the 18th century and stands approximately 3 feet high. It features a double design with a triple domed head, showcasing three skulls. The outer two skulls are angled outwards, while the center skull has bat wings. The headstone is adorned with motifs of bones, spades, and an hourglass. John Hudson died in 1744, and Thomas Hudson died in 1766.
