Description

The Corn Stores is a late 17th or earlier timber-framed building, refronted in the 18th century, forming an L-shaped block. Numbers 6 to 12 (even) and number 14 comprise the building. Number 6 presents the south front and features red brick with grey headers, displaying six sash windows and one dormer. The east front, encompassing numbers 8 to 12, has six windows. The ground floor is painted brick, while the upper level is plastered. Number 8 has three gabled dormers. Number 14, which is entirely 18th century in design, is constructed of painted brick and has a tiled roof, hipped at one end. It features three sash windows with intact glazing bars and iron ties to the first floor, along with a double garage door and two cambered sash windows on the ground floor. A footscraper is also present.
