Description
Sugarloaf is a 16th-century house that has been clad in the 17th century. It features a timber frame covered with red and blue brick in English bond, along with tile hanging on the return elevations. The roof is plain tiled, hipped with gablets, and has a central stack, as well as two stacks at the rear in a catslide outshot. The building is two storeys high and has two three-light leaded wooden casements on the first floor, along with two French windows on the ground floor and a central glazed door set within a hipped porch. Inside, the original external wall is visible within the outshot, showcasing exposed close-studded timber with plaster infill. The Sugarloaf was formerly known as the Sugar Loaf Inn.
