Description

The Garden Temple to Abbey House, built around 1750, is located on the south side of High Street. This structure features a Roman Doric portico supported by four columns, along with an entablature and a pediment that is topped with urns. It was possibly designed by William Pescod in 1751 and is considered only a fragment of the original design. The temple was constructed across a conduit leading to a mill.
