Description

Yew Tree House is a 17th-century cottage located on the west side of Romsey Road in Kings Somborne. Originally named Yew Tree Cottage and previously listed as a cottage adjoining the Crown Inn to the north, it was renamed in 2021. The cottage is timber-framed with wattle and daub infill and a thatched roof. It is one-and-a-half stories high and features three bays. A 20th-century "Tudor" style door with lights on either side is centrally located on the right-hand bay. Other bays have 20th-century two-light casement windows. The eyebrow dormer on the left bay contains a three-light casement window, and the right bay has a four-light casement. The roof is half-hipped to the right, with a ridge stack positioned to the left of the centre.
