Description

Dykes Farmhouse is a 17th-century house with a later 18th-century extension forming an L-shape. It is constructed of flint with a thatched roof. The original part is single-storey and has an attic, while the later extension is two storeys high and features irregular window placement. The older section has a ½-hipped roof, while the extension has a higher ridge and gable, with a tiled valley within the angle. Brick dressings are present, with horizontal bands on the later extension, and a plinth. The south and west sides have been rendered and the entire building is painted. Casement windows are found throughout. A boarded door is set within a plain frame and a ½-glazed door is located on the south side, sheltered by a thatched canopy.
