Description

Ashdon House and Belmore Cottage date from around 1835. They are stucco-faced buildings with tiled roofs. Ashdon House (No. 2) is two storeys high and has two windows. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, and dripstone moulds above the ground floor sashes. A round-arched doorway has a six-panelled door with a fanlight and a gabled porch with glazing. Belmore Cottage (No. 4) is three storeys high with a basement, and has an additional single-bay, two-storeyed wing to the south. It has three windows, with a central blank window, all of which are sash windows with glazing bars. A late 19th-century square bay window is on the north side of the ground floor. The doorway features a round arch with a solid tympanum, a dripstone mould, a six-panelled door, and steps with a handrail. Numbers 10 and 12, and numbers 16 to 28 (even) form a group.
