Description
Dower House is a 18th century to early 19th century, two-storey house that was built in two phases. The earlier part features a long range with five windows, a red tile roof that is half-hipped at the south end, and painted brick walls in Flemish bond. The ground-floor openings are cambered, and there is a plinth. The windows are casements, and the plain doorway has a solid frame with a six-panelled door that includes glazed upper parts. Attached to the south end is a narrower Regency block with two windows, a low-pitched hipped slate roof, wide eaves soffit, and rendered walls. This section has sash windows set in reveals. The doorway features a plain architrave with a moulded cornice, a deep reveal, and an off-centre opening with a half-glazed door.
