Description
Northfield House is an early 19th-century building, originally designed with a symmetrical front, and featuring a later north extension. It is two storeys high with a 3.3-window upper floor and a 1.2-bay ground floor, topped with a hipped slate roof. The walls are red brick in a Flemish bond, featuring rubbed flat arches. The windows are Victorian sash windows, some arranged in angular bays built into the brickwork. A round-arched doorway is recessed within a stucco frame, decorated with incised panels, rose motifs, and a keystone above a radiating fanlight, leading to a five-panelled door. A front boundary wall made of brickwork, topped with eight stones, and featuring end and gate piers with stone caps (without their original rails) contributes to the property's setting.
