Description

Laburnum Cottage is a building dating from around 1800. It is two storeys high and features four windows. The narrow block has an interior timber frame that is clad in painted brickwork, with tile-hanging on the gables and on the front above the ground floor window heads. The roof is covered with red tiles. The front has two-light casement windows that have a distinctive chamfer at the upper corners. There is a flush-panelled door set in a solid frame, which is enclosed within a later glazed porch. This cottage once housed Napoleonic officer prisoners of war.
