Description
The Grey House is a building dating from the 18th and 19th centuries, located on the north side of Odiham High Street. It features a symmetrical facade with two storeys and three windows, topped by a red tile roof. The walls are roughcast with stone cills and a plinth. The windows are sashes set in exposed frames, with three lights for all except the central window. The entrance has a doorcase with a moulded segmental open pediment and a broken entablature above panelled pilasters. The round-arched doorway includes a painted fanlight and a six-panelled door that is top lit, accessed by two stone steps. There is a low stone wall in the forecourt, although the rails are missing. At the west end, a gateway is flanked by brick piers with plinths and stone caps. The building has substantial rear extensions. In the garden, there is a small gazebo featuring a red tile pyramid roof, brick dentil eaves, red brick walling, small sashes, and a door.
