Description

The stable block at South Warnborough Manor dates from the early 19th century and features a symmetrical E-shaped design. The tall central section has a pediment gable and a wide cambered arch that is now filled in as a recess. The roofing is primarily red tile, with a low-pitched slate section above the central part, and the ends and corners are hipped. The building has brick dentil eaves and is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, with a plinth. The wings and their returns exhibit a panelled treatment, with walls recessed beneath cambered arches. The structure has been modernised and serves as both a dwelling and a stable.
