Description
Rose Cottage is a 18th century building located on the south-west side of Brune Lane in Chark Common. The main facade faces east and is constructed of red brick with grey headers, featuring a brick eaves cornice. The cottage has an old tiled double span hipped roof with a central chimney on each span. It is two storeys high and has two windows with modern glazing set in early 19th century frames, while the ground floor windows have cambered head linings. The centre door is adorned with a pediment, pilasters, and panelled reveals, and features a six-panelled design, with the top two panels now glazed. The first floor centre includes a tablet displaying the cottage name and a fire insurance mark. The north elevation of the cottage is rendered.
