Description
The north and west boundary walls, altar tombs, and memorials in the churchyard of the Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul date from the 18th and 19th centuries. The churchyard features many fine tombstones and altar tombs, several adorned with low relief carvings of cherubs, urns, and other motifs, primarily made of white stone. The walls, which are dated 1830 at the eastern end, are constructed of flint with sections of red brick. The eastern half of the wall is approximately 7 feet high, while the western half is about 3 feet high, topped with red brick coping. The churchyard wall, tombs, and memorials are part of a group with the Church of St Peter and St Paul.
