Description
Old Manor Farmhouse is a large timber-framed house dating from the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries. It has two storeys and an attic, featuring a long east-west block with a cross wing at the west end and a small 18th-century north wing. The roof is tiled. A massive tapered chimney stack is attached to the south side, while a tall mid-17th-century stack with arched-panelled sides is located at the junction of the west wing and the main block. The frame is mostly exposed in the upper part, with brick infill and other walling, though the west and north wings are covered with rendering, except for the north gable. The house has leaded casement windows and an 18th-century six-panelled door set within a modern portico. Inside, there is a 17th-century dog-leg staircase and a large open fireplace featuring a Tudor arch. The property has been modernised.
