Description

Eastrop Cottage is a timber-framed house dating from the 17th and 18th centuries, with modern additions. It is two storeys high and has an irregular arrangement of windows. A single-storey utility wing has been added to the north-east corner, and an extension to the south end. The roof is tiled, with half-hipped ends, and includes a shafted stack. The timber frame is exposed with red brick infilling, using a Monk and Flemish Garden Wall bond pattern. Later parts of the building feature cambered openings and a plinth. Windows are casements, and there is one small, old metal window above the west door. Doorways are plain.
