Description

Slades Bridge is a standard bridge on the Basingstoke Canal, built in 1790. It features a single cambered arch and has a projecting band at road level. The parapet wall ends with brick piers that have stone caps. The bridge is constructed of red brick in English bond and includes brick cutwaters and a wall along the towpath. On the east face, there is a lowered wall that has been replaced by a metal rail.
