Description
Hillend Farmhouse is a two-storeyed timber-framed house dating from the 17th century, 18th century, and early 20th century. It features an irregular arrangement of windows and has a tiled roof with a central stack. The exposed frame is visible on three sides, with brick infilling that includes some herring-bone patterns. The south wall is made of red brickwork in Flemish bond with blue headers. The windows are casements, and there is one large modern bay. The house has a porch and other traditional doors. At each end, there are modern extensions constructed with brick-nogged timber framing, with a flat roof on the west side and a tiled roof on the east side.
