Description
The Old Rectory is an early 19th-century building. It features a symmetrical front (east) with two storeys and three windows. The low-pitched slate roof has a wide plain soffit and an eaves fillet. The walls are made of painted brick in Flemish bond, with rubbed flat arches and stone cills. The windows are sashes set in reveals, with two small round-headed casements (added later) on each side of the entrance. The entrance is highlighted by a stucco Tuscan porch, which has two pilasters on each side, circular lights beside the entrance, and a leaded semi-circular roof that culminates in front glazing above the cornice. The other elevations are similar, with a symmetrical arrangement of four windows on the south front.
