Description
Upper Wyke Manor is an 18th-century house that was altered in the mid-19th century. The building has a south-facing front with two storeys and an attic, featuring five windows plus one blank window. It has a hipped tile roof and brick dentil eaves, along with four gabled dormers that have scalloped slate panels above the casements. The walls are made of red brick laid in Flemish bond, with a first-floor band and signs of changes to the window openings, including cambered ground floor openings. The windows are sashes in exposed frames, with some having been widened during the later alterations. A large Gothic brick porch includes stone kneelers and verges, an oval arch with a keystone and heraldic device, and a brick plinth. Inside the porch is a door with nine flush panels, three of which are top-glazed.
