Description
The White House is a 17th and 18th century timber-framed building with later cladding. It has an L-shaped, two-storey layout with a fairly regular arrangement of windows. At the east end, there is a single-storey extension that was formerly a public house. The roof is tiled, featuring hips, one gable, and a rear catslide, while the extension has a slate roof. The exposed timber frame is visible on three sides, with painted brick infilling, two rendered walls that include panels above Venetian openings, and a plinth. The extension features flint panels in its brickwork. The windows are casements. The main doorway is adorned with a moulded canopy supported by brackets, an architrave, and a door with four flush panels; there is also another plain doorway.
