Description
Church Farmhouse is a building originally from the 15th century, with the front completely rebuilt in the early 18th century. The north wall at the back features timber framing and close-studding with brackets beneath the eaves. The internal timber work dates from the same period. The 18th-century front has two storeys and four windows, with a central blocked window space. It is constructed of red brick and grey headers alternately set on a stone base, with long and short stone quoins, a stone string course, and red brick window dressings. The building has a wooden modillion eaves cornice and a tiled roof, with intact glazing bars. There is a porch supported by Doric columns, featuring a modillion cornice and a pediment above. The door consists of six fielded panels, with the top two panels being glazed.
