Description

Marklye is a late 18th or early 19th century mansion. The south-east front has five windows, and is constructed of red brick with grey headers. It features an eaves bracket cornice and a hipped slate roof. Modern additions include a porch, ground-floor bay windows on either side of the porch, and a tripartite window in the centre of the second floor. The south-west front, also with five windows, is stuccoed and has a curved bay. The north-east front has a half-H shape, a tiled roof, and five windows.
