Description
Summertree Farmhouse and the adjoining barn to the west is an L-shaped timber-framed building. The northern range dates back to the 15th century, while the southern wing was added in the early 17th century. The ground floor is fronted with red brick, and the upper section is plastered. It features a steeply-pitched hipped tiled roof and casement windows. The building has two storeys and three windows. Inside, there is a good collection of beams and fireplaces, along with a crownpost roof. The barn, which is a modern addition, is also from the early 17th century and is faced with weather-boarding. It has a hipped tiled roof with queen-posts inside.
