Description
Hampden Lodge Oasthouse is an 18th-century cart shed featuring five bays, with a hop kiln added to the roof in the 19th century. The building is two storeys high and constructed with a timber frame, lath and plaster infilling on the front elevation, and weatherboarding on the other sides. It has a half-hipped tiled roof topped with a conical hop kiln that lacks a cowl or fantail. Inside, there is a wooden winder stair leading to the upper floor, and two of the bays are designed as an open cart shed.
