Description
Pollards Farm Cottage is a cottage that dates from the late 16th century or early 17th century. It has been refenestrated and extended in the 20th century. The building is timber-framed and consists of four bays, with the frame exposed on the northeast and northwest fronts. The northeast front features an exposed frame with curved tension braces and rendered infill. The northwest front has an exposed frame with a mid rail on the ground floor, painted brick infill, and tile hanging above. The other elevations are made of painted brick, with a projecting 20th-century extension to the southwest that has a weatherboarded first floor. The cottage has a brick plinth and a 20th-century tiled roof that is half-hipped to the northwest and hipped to the southeast, topped with an off-central painted brick chimneystack. It is two storeys high with irregular fenestration, primarily featuring 20th-century casement windows. The interior includes exposed beams.
