Description

The Old Half Moon is a former inn located on Burwash Road in Heathfield. This L-shaped building features a south wing that dates back to the 17th century or earlier, originally timber-framed and later refronted with red brick. The west end of this wing has a shed portion that is faced with tarred weather-boarding. The building is two storeys high, while the north wing, added in the 18th century, is one storey. It has a tiled roof and casement windows, along with a doorway that has a flat hood supported by brackets. There are five windows on the south side and four on the east side.
