Description
Boathouse Farmhouse is probably a 17th-century farmhouse, originally of an L-plan. It is two storeys and has an attic. The front of the house has four windows. The north end of the east front is tile-hung, with a half-hipped gable containing an attic window. The remainder of the east front is faced with red mathematical tiles. The roof is tiled. The windows are sash windows with intact glazing bars. The front doorway has pilasters, a flat hood over, and a door consisting of six fielded panels. The south front is tile-hung. On the west side, the angle of the original L-plan was filled in during the early 19th century, using red brick with grey headers on the ground floor and tile-hung above. The roof of this section is slate. It also features a doorway with a flat hood.
