Description

The Tower is a 18th-century square building located in Plashette Park, formerly part of the estate of Viscount Gage of Firle Place, situated a few miles to the southeast. This structure originally served as a verderer's tower for signaling to another tower on the hill east of Firle Place. The tower stands three storeys high and features one window, with a flat roof and tile-hung exterior. Adjacent to it is a later addition, also square but only two storeys tall, constructed of red brick with a hipped slate roof and one window. Both sections have round-headed windows.
