Description

Marvells is a house designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens for the American artist George Plank, built between 1926 and 1927. It is one of Lutyens's smaller houses in the Georgian style, featuring two storeys and six windows. The exterior is made of red brick with a hipped tiled roof. The house has sash windows with glazing bars and a doorway that includes a wide hood supported by scroll brackets, which displays the initials "G.P." for George Plank. There is also a small L-shaped addition at the back, which is faced with weather-boarding.
