Description

Hempstead House is a 17th century or earlier timber-framed building located on the north side of George Street in Hailsham, with its back facing the street. The building has two storeys and features three windows. The north front has been refaced and is now tile-hung. It has a tiled roof with a pentice on the south side, and the wall below this is stuccoed. There is a modern shop window included in the design. The building is noted for its group value.
