Description

The Spinney is a cottage built in the early 19th century, consisting of two parallel ranges. The front range is constructed of red brick with grey headers and features a tiled roof with end brick chimneystacks. It stands two storeys high and has three windows, which are 12-pane sashes with horns and cambered architraves on the ground floor. The central door is from the 20th century. The rear wing may be slightly older and is also made of red brick with grey headers, topped with a tiled roof that has a catslide at the back. The left side elevation includes one window, featuring a 12-pane sash on the first floor, while the right side elevation is rendered and has a casement obscured by an adjoining property. The building was advertised for sale in 1838.
