Description

Great Cansiron is an L-shaped house located in Hartfield, with part of it in the parish of Forest Row. The east wing dates back to the 17th century and was altered in the 18th century. The ground floor is made of sandstone, while the upper part features tile-hanging and red brick. The north wing was built in the 18th century, constructed from red brick with grey headers. Both sections have tiled roofs and casement windows. In the angle of the L, there is a modern ground floor addition with a pentice roof.
