The Abbey Ruins are the remains of the Frater Cistercian Abbey of Robertsbridge, which was founded by Alured and Alicia de St Martin in 1176. The buildings on the current site began around 1200. The ruins consist of a rectangular structure made of stone rubble, featuring the remains of a pointed recess and three round-headed windows, which are part of the Refectory or Frater of the Abbey.
