Description

The Customs House, now offices and a shop, dates from the 18th century. It is a two-storey, three-window building constructed of red brick, with some patching. It features an eaves cornice and a tiled roof. The front doorway is framed with a small, flat hood over a six-panelled, moulded door. A double shop window has been inserted to the west of the door. The side of the house, facing Conduit Hill, has two half-hipped gables and is tiled above the ground floor. A large block has been added to the rear, creating an L-shape with the main section.
