Description

This is a 17th century or earlier timber-framed building, originally two cottages known as Nos 1 and 2 Yew Tree Cottages, with the western cottage also called Pelham Buckle. The west cottage retains timber framing with plaster infilling, while the east cottage was refaced with brick and stone rubble, both now painted on the ground floor and tile-hung above. The building has a hipped tiled roof with a pentice in the center of the north front. It features casement windows and has two storeys with four windows.
