Description

Bugsell Farmhouse is a 16th-century timber-framed building with a half-H plan, featuring original south west and south east wings that form an L shape. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has three windows. The south east front has been refaced with painted brick on the ground floor and is tile-hung above. The westernmost window bay projects, with its first floor oversailing on a moulded bressummer. The roof is tiled, and there are casement windows. A chimney breast is located on the south west wall. The north west wing was added in the late 17th century and is constructed of red brick and ashlar. Inside, there are two stone fireplaces and an 18th-century staircase.
