Description
The Banks is a timber-framed house dated 1599, which has been restored and enlarged to imitate timber framing. It stands two storeys tall, with the original section featuring four windows. The ground floor is finished in painted brick, while the upper floor displays timber framing with plastered infilling. There are two gables adorned with carved barge-boards, and below these, both floors have bays with two tiers of five lights. Additionally, there are two gabled dormers situated between the gables, and the house has a tiled roof. Large additions have been made to the south and west, and the cellars are believed to be medieval.
