Description

Newenden Bridge, built in 1706, is a Grade II* listed structure that reflects medieval architectural traditions. The bridge is located partly in Rother District, Sussex, and partly in Tenterden Rural District, Kent. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a renewed parapet. The design includes three round-headed arches, with shouldered buttresses positioned between them on the downstream side, and pointed cut-waters on the upstream side.
