Description

The Parish Church of St Laurence is a Grade II* listed building located on Church Road in Catsfield. The church features a chancel, a north chapel, a nave with a north aisle, a south porch, and a west tower topped with a broached shingled spire. The nave dates back to the early 12th century, while the tower and chancel were built in the early 13th century. The north chapel was added in the later 13th century. The north aisle was rebuilt by R C Carpenter in 1849 during a restoration of the entire church. Inside, there is a king post roof in the nave, and a notable monument by Nollekens commemorates John Fuller, who died in 1810.
