Description
Alma House, also known as Phoenix Corner House, is a late 18th century, early 19th century building located on Church Street and South Street. It forms a group with the Old Town Hall. The building is constructed of stucco, with a hipped tile roof. The Church Street elevation features two windows with flush frames and glazing bars. A ground floor bay retains its original glazing bars. The building continues as Alma House on its South Street frontage, presenting one window to each storey and a modern door with a rectangular fan. The ground floor on South Street now contains a modern shop window and door.
